Netflix will present us with new titles in the first month of 2023, some dates are already confirmed for some of the releases that will take place in January, however, some others are on hold.

English Language Netflix Originals Coming
The Pale Blue Eye
This is a Netflix original movie with Christian Bale, also this movie can be found in theaters at Christmas. This movie is an adaptation of the novel by Louis Byard.
This is the official logline of The Pale Blue Eye: “West Point, 1830. A world-weary detective is hired to discreetly investigate the gruesome murder of a cadet. Stymied by the cadets’ code of silence, he enlists one of their own to help unravel the case — a young man the world would come to know as Edgar Allan Poe.”

Vikings: Valhalla (Season 2)
Vikings: Valhalla arrives with its second season, where we will see the heroes shortly after the tragic fall of Kattegat, where their dreams have been shattered and their destinies altered. So too are they forced to test their ambitions and courage, after finding themselves on the run in Scandinavia, on worlds beyond the Kattegat fjords. There will also be new faces in this new season of the 3 seasons that are expected of this series.

Bling Empire: New York
In this new entry, which is a spin-off of the reality series Bling Empire, we get to see “new group of rich, sophisticated and hilarious Asian-Americans from New York City.” Let’s remember that Bling Empire is in its third season.

Lockwood & Co
A series that many have been waiting for, this British mystery and fantasy series, being one of Netflixe’s first major TV releases of the year with a cast consisting of Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, Ali Hadji-Heshmati and Jack Bandeira. The series will show us, “A girl with extraordinary psychic abilities joins two gifted teen boys at a small ghost-hunting agency to fight the many deadly spirits haunting London.”

The Lying Life of Adults
This is a drama series based on the book by Elena Ferrante, starring Valeria Golino and directed by Edoardo De Angelis. The series will show us, “Young Giovanna navigates her passage from childhood into adolescence as she experiences the different sides of Naples during the 1990s.”

Based on the book by Bernhard Aichner, this Austrian thriller series created by Barbara Stepansky, Benito Mueller and Wolfgang Mueller, will show us a woman who exposes a small community with a deep secret, after searching for answers about who killed her husband.

This is a Mexican film starring Julieta Egurrola, Teresa Ruiz and Kenya Cuevas, where we will see a woman who reaches a support network while she is searching for her missing daughter and where she is linked to other women, who due to violence their lives have been destroyed.

The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House
This is an eight-episode series where we will see Kiyo who becomes a Makanai (person who cooks) in a house where Maiko (geisha apprentices) live together. This series is based on the anime and manga that was written by Aiko Koyama and this adaptation has been made into a live action series, with a co-production by Netflix, Story Inc. and BUN-BUKU Inc.
